This is a beautiful Benediction Burse, perfect for Feasts of Our Lady.
Crafted from Russian silk white/silver fabric, the burse is trimmed front and back with 1" blue/gold metallic trimming.
The unique Marian embroidery comes from a window I photographed earlier this year in the country town of York, Western Australia! York was the first inland township of Western Australia, and over the years a very nice Catholic Church was built there, a sort of 'York Minster' in miniture. Across the road you find the old Sisters of St. Joseph convent, which is now a private residence. However, the stain glass windows of the old chapel are still there. This emblem comes from one of them, though I have made the Crown slight larger.
At 28th November, 2007 there is one of these Burses in stock. The price has been slightly reduced as the burse is a slight 'second'. The embroidery work stretched the silk a little, and the base of the front of the Burse is not perfectly straight. Otherwise, this is a beautiful Benediction Burse that would be worthy to grace your Traditional Catholic chapel for Benediction.
